"It's so easy to program your mind, but people don't even try" Dr. Bruce Lipton

Does any of you think about which restaurant to try out on next Saturday night, What vegetables to buy on the way home, while you are working. I guess we all let our subconscious mind wonder at some point. We all are buried in our busy schedules and with the office workload and the household stuffs, we hardly find time to think and relax. So our mind wonders all over the place while we are actually supposed to be doing productive work.

When you try to start something new, does the voice back of your head discourage you? Just like when I started writing this blog post, this being my fist blog post, my mind was filled with so many doubts. ‘Nobody is going to read it. It’s being long since I’ve written something decent. It isn’t worth the time you spent on writing. Where are you going to publish it anyway?’ And when I finally sit down to write something, I’m like how do I start? So I googled “How to start your first blog post?” and found some content which wasn’t what I was looking for. But I started anyway and here I am.

Who is in-charge of this negativity that circles around you all the time? Who doesn’t let you stay focused while at work?

It’s your subconscious mind which is responsible to all these. It’s your subconscious mind that tells you that you don’t have a shot at your dream job, it’s your subconscious mind that tells you, that you are not good enough for the guy you have a crush on. It can travel around the whole world while you are driving to the supermarket. It’s a very powerful thing and unfortunately most of us don’t know that we can use it to thrive in anything we are doing.

The secret is explained by Dr. Bruce Lipton in his book ‘The Honeymoon Effect’. When you just started dating the right guy, you suddenly feel like you are living in wonderland. You find yourself constantly laughing and having a great time even when you’re surrounded by people you disliked before. You suddenly forget how shitty your job is, everyone seems nice and your playlist is full of romantic songs. But how?

When you just started dating you are conscious all the time, because the reality is better than your dreams. There’s this amazing person just in-front of you, the one you have been looking for your whole life and you don’t want to spend time thinking about anything else. It is called honeymoon effect because this doesn’t last long, soon reality kicks in and you get all nervous about the future, career. What really happened is you stopped being mindful!

Our conscious mind is creative and full of desires but the subconscious mind is all programmed. It is generally programmed to notify you the uncertainties dumped in the back of your mind. A 3 year old kid who wants to fly like a bird, never think it’s impossible unless their parent told him so. By birth we are all go-getters, we pick up negativity as we grow.

Once I managed to start writing the first paragraph of the blog, ideas came flowing in, I totally forgot about all the hesitations.

How to make use of subconscious mind?

Whenever a negative thought come to your mind, train your mind to fight it and say ‘No you can do it. No it will be okay.’ Things will turn around when you fill your mind with positive vibes and will power.

When you go to bed at night, just when you’re falling off to sleep, consciousness disconnects. If you have programmed to believe what you want to be true in your life, that’s the song which is going to play to your subconscious mind. You will naturally develop the will power to pursue your dreams. You will develop the confidence to ask out the person you have a crush on or to get an interview for your dream job.
